Pecans

My parents went to my "Big Uncle Charles'" Southern-plantation-turned-ministry-retreat earlier this week and brought home 50 pounds of pecans (not sure if that was an exaggeration or a real weight!).  So, I am about to be blessed with lots of pecans.

Because I am inept in the kitchen, I need your
HELP!!

Please comment with your best, easiest, yummiest recipes for pecans! :)

  1. My husband is totally not a fruit guy-AT ALL! But he raves about this grape salad that includes pecans. I think you will love it too. And super EASY! Enjoy!! Great for Thanksgiving side dish!!!

    GRAPE SALAD

    2 lb green grapes

    2 lb red grapes

    8 oz sour cream

    8 oz softened cream cheese

    1/2 cup white sugar

    1 tsp vanilla extract

    Topping

    1 cup brown sugar

    1 cup crushed pecans

Wash, stem & dry the grapes. In a bowl, mix the sour cream, cream cheese, white sugar and vanilla until blended. (Make sure your cream cheese is soft or this mixture will be clumpy.) Stir grapes into the mixture and pour into 9x13 pan. For the topping, combine brown sugar and pecans, the sprinkle over the top of the grapes. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours (best if overnight). Enjoy!
